Sometimes, a gemstone is just so perfect that it'd be a shame to hide it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That was my thought the very first time I saw a moissanite. It had the sparkle of a hundred stars, flashed colours I never thought I'd see in a colourless gem. I had another design in mind for that stone, but as soon as I held it in my hand, I knew I had to change it all.
The Asteria ring is named after the Greek goddess of falling stars, and is created entirely in gold (white gold in this photo). The profile of this ring is a little taller than its sister ring, Gaia, which I shared in my last post. The gem is set on a 6-claw setting, which secures the stone in the ring yet allows light to pass through on all sides.
The Asteria solitaire ring can be made in recycled 9ct or 18ct gold, in white gold or yellow gold, with the ring band finished in my signature hammered texture. The ring in this photo is set with a 0.84ct (6mm) stone, though stone size and type is up to you.⠀⠀
